Goodbye 2008/Hello 2009 Once again the breeding season at Glen Eden has been outstanding. We are waiting for one mare to be tested and if she is in foal we have managed to obtain a 100% fertility rate once again. All mares are in excellent condition and have the in foal glow. The foals born at Glen Eden this year have all been nice types and are growing well. Branding is only a couple of weeks away. It was great to see Veetwelve Rossa win at Wangaratta. She is a 2YO and this was her first race beating home the favorite. She is by Testa Rossa out of Infinite Charm and was prepared and sold by Glen Eden at the Melbourne Premier sale in 2008. It has also been great to see the resident spellers Mic Mac, Cecilia and Hezabruiser score very good wins over the past month as well. Hopefully this continues during 2009. The drought is still our biggest challenge. We are still sourcing the highest quality feed and hay. We have an excellent feeding program so all horses including spellers, yearlings, mares and foals look fantastic.
