ABOUT US
Based in the heart of Victoria, only one hour north of Melbourne. Operating under our ‘Horse First’ mantra, Glen Eden Stud is a high-quality thoroughbred breeding operation.
Services include standing the stallion Bawaardi, breeding mares, foaling down, agistment, walk outs, yearling/weanling preparation and tending convalescent care horses.
Glen Eden Stud guarantees your horse receives the very best individual care and attention.
BREEDING
Glen Eden provides all breeding services for your mare including walking on to other farms.
A veterinarian visits Glen Eden Stud at least 3 to 4 days a week to tend to mares to ensure they are cycling and ready to cover.
With the help of our resident teaser – Dallu Harri – mares are regularly exposed to his advances helping to encourage them to cycle. For maiden mares he is also excellent at teaching them to not fear the stallion.
Glen Eden specialises in foaling down.
Foaling can be associated with many risks and we are on hand to assist if foaling issues occur.
Having veterinary nursing experience in the equine industry, including working in intensive foal care, ensures that Sonia’s knowledge and experience are paramount when caring for compromised horses and foals.
Foals are assessed from birth to determine limb abnormalities so that they can be corrected in a timely manner. These are assessed by a Master Farrier and veterinarians.
